Alan started his career in 1975 in Kansas City, Missouri working as a Design Engineer for several companies. He then made the move to Connecticut and spent 5 years working for Russell Gibson von Dohlen as a Structural Engineer before he started with Szewczak Associates in 1988. Alan’s technical knowledge and project experience make him a very highly valued and respected team member.

In his free time Alan enjoys curling, taking cello lessons, drinking a great cup of cappuccino and spending time with his granddaughter, Julia Rae.
